The Master's program in Economics at Heinrich Heine University has a clear international orientation, focusing on research relevant to economic policy and its practical application. The program offers intensive support with teaching in small groups and close interaction with lecturers. It combines on-site study with digital teaching and learning opportunities. The curriculum is centered around current findings and discourse on economic science and economic policy. The program consists of four in-depth compulsory courses in micro and macroeconomics, econometrics and the theory of business administration, as well as four electives from a wide spectrum of courses. The Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) provides a unique research environment in Germany, where researchers analyze contemporary issues like competition in energy, telecommunications and media sectors.

* Bachelor's degree with a focus on economic science, social science or mathematical analysis, with at least 180 ECTS credits * Knowledge of mathematics and statistics (at least 18 ECTS credits) * Knowledge of subjects related to business administration or economics (at least 24 ECTS credits) * Final grade (at least 2.5) * Final thesis (at least 10 ECTS credits) * If bachelor's not completed, must have earned at least 75% of the credits for the entire program
