The Master's program "Literature and Culture in Europe" offers an interdisciplinary, comparative study of European literatures and cultures from a historical perspective since the 18th century. The program offers the language areas German, English, French, Italian and Spanish in various combinations. The special feature of this consecutive subject-specific Osnabrück Master's program lies in the targeted integration of literary and cultural studies perspectives in the study of the European cultural and linguistic area in its similarities as well as its diversity. The program aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the formation and transformation of modern European literatures and cultures, emphasizing their intercultural references and similarities as well as their mutual differentiation. Graduates qualify for work in university and non-university research, education, international organizations, management consultancy, public relations, tourism, translation, editing, research and documentation, administration, politics, media, publishing and cultural management.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Qualified Bachelor's degree in English Studies, German Studies, Romance Studies or in another modern philology or closely related course with a relevant academic component of at least 63 credit points * Language requirements: Knowledge of two modern foreign languages, usually English or a Romance language (French, Italian or Spanish) at language level B2 for the first and B1 for the other foreign language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) * Additional requirement: Further knowledge of two of the four languages mentioned must be acquired during the course of the degree program * For international applicants: Sufficient levels of German Language Proficiency required * Study abroad: Evidence of a study-related stay abroad for at least three months in a country with one of the focus languages
