The Master of Science in Mathematics at the University of Bremen is an English-language program designed to prepare students for international careers in academia and the global job market. The program offers two options: a theory-oriented program where students engage with cutting-edge research topics through reading courses, and an application-oriented variant where students study mathematics alongside a second subject (such as biology, chemistry, engineering, computer science, physics, or economics). Students specialize in one of four mathematical fields: algebra, analysis, numerical analysis, or statistics/stochastics. The program is flexible, allowing students to tailor their studies to their individual interests within an international framework.

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related program with at least 180 credit points (CP) * Proof of at least 90 CP in the area of mathematics * Letter of motivation in English specifying area of mathematics specialization (Algebra, Analysis, Numerical Analysis, or Statistics/Stochastics) * Applicants with incomplete studies may apply if they have acquired at least 135 CP
