Would you like to learn how the healthcare system works and how to think and act for the benefit of patients from a business perspective? With our Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration in Healthcare (BIG), you will lay the foundation for your career as a specialist and manager in healthcare facilities – an innovative and secure industry. With us, you will acquire the skills you need to master the special challenges of hospital management, health insurance companies, consultancies or other healthcare facilities in the long term. Through practical teaching such as projects with our practice partners, excursions and congress visits or the exchange of experiences with our alumni, we make you fit for the future. The degree program qualifies you to work in the administrative field in healthcare facilities. These include, in particular, hospitals, health insurance companies, rehabilitation centres, care facilities, consulting companies, pharmaceutical companies, associations and authorities. As a graduate of the degree programme, you will take on specialist and management tasks in various departments, such as: Finance and accounting, Controlling, Purchasing and logistics, Human resource management, Marketing and public relations, Quality and risk management, Company management. The career prospects for graduates are good and demand on the labour market remains high.

* Secondary school diploma or university degree recognized for admission * German language proficiency * For non-EU applicants: Places are awarded by grade point average (5% of available Bachelor places reserved) * Abitur, advanced technical college entrance qualification, or equivalent preparatory training * Placement test: English and Accounting * Features: Modern business administration studies with a specialization in health and hospital management * Areas of focus: Business Administration of Health Care Institutions, Health Politics, Human Resource Management in Health Care, Cost, Performance Proceeds and Result Calculation, Technical English, Labor Law in Health Sector, Health Informatics, Management of Health Care Institutions and Business Taxation, Medicine and Care, Law for Managers in the Health Service, Controlling for the Health Sector, Financing of Health Care Institutions, Public Health and Pharmacoeconomics, Health Care System and Control * Practical project: 6 weeks of introductory lectures in the 4th semester followed by a mandatory 16-week practical project in health management

* German language proficiency: Good command of German required to follow lectures and work independently * Recognized German language certificates required (see university website for list of accepted certificates) * Deadline for submission of German language certificates: February 28 for summer semester, August 31 for winter semester * Note: Achieving C1 proficiency requires significant time investment and directly impacts academic success
