📋 Program Hakkında

The Computational and Data Science program combines the strengths of Computational Science and Data Science, offering an interdisciplinary profile of mathematics, computer science, and a natural, engineering or economic science. This combination enables students to effectively combine data-driven and model-based methods to develop innovative solutions for complex problems in science, industry, and business. Located at the KIT Faculty of Mathematics, it provides particularly well-founded mathematical foundations and specialization opportunities. The bachelor's program is divided into a mandatory area that equips students with methods to classify and solve application problems from natural sciences, engineering or economics, and an elective area. In the mandatory area, students learn important mathematical foundations from linear algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, and computer science. In the elective area, students choose a profile in engineering or economics in the Science, Engineering, Economics (SEE) subject. The study program is rounded off with a specialization subject that can be taken in mathematics, computer science, or the chosen SEE profile. In the final bachelor's thesis, students apply the learned methods scientifically.
