📋 Program Hakkında

The Master of Education (MEd) in Italian follows the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and complements your teacher education. After earning your MEd, you can be admitted to the teacher traineeship ("Referendariat"). The program consists of literary, linguistic and practical modules. The literary modules teach critical analysis of Italian literature and culture across all epochs and genres. The linguistic modules cover the structure and history of the Italian language, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, language acquisition, and Italian varieties. Practical courses improve Italian language skills through regional and cultural studies, oral and written language skills, listening comprehension, translation, and grammar. The program also includes didactics and education classes. The master's programme usually takes four semesters to complete, with a total of 120 ECTS credits required. Students take two major subjects along with classes in educational science, including a practical teaching semester.

* Completed bachelor's degree in teacher education "Gymnasium" with two majors or equivalent degree * In exceptional cases: Six-semester bachelor's programme with elements of teacher education * Minimum of 64 ECTS in each major * Minimum of 5 ECTS in teaching methodologies of each major * Minimum of 12 ECTS in educational sciences * Three-week orientation internship at a "Gymnasium", vocational school, "Gemeinschaftsschule" with upper secondary level students, or equivalent school internship

🗣 Dil Gereksinimleri

* German language skills: level DSH-2 or TestDaF 4, or equivalent language test * Basic skills in another Romance language (e.g. French, Spanish) * Basic skills in Latin
