A Contact Study (Kontaktstudium) is a form of professional academic continuing education offered by universities. It serves the artistic and scientific deepening and supplementation of professional experience (further education). Contact studies are often focused on specific fields and can also provide an opportunity for migrants to expand their qualifications. The Contact Study is a further development of the traditional guest student program. It is suitable for anyone who wants to continue their education out of personal interest and does not aim for a degree. The Contact Study at HfM Saar is limited to four semesters.
