📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program in Primary School Teaching with a European Teaching Profile (Europalehramt) at the Karlsruhe University of Education builds on competencies acquired in the Bachelor's program. It includes courses in Bilingual Teaching and Learning/CLIL (10 CP), educational sciences, and subject-specific studies. Students study one foreign language (English or French) and one bilingual subject. The program consists of 120 credit points: 60 CP at the university and 60 CP during the preparatory service. The first two semesters are studied at the university (including the master's thesis), while the remaining two semesters are completed as preparatory service at a state seminar for didactics and teacher education and at a school. Graduates are qualified to teach at state schools in Germany, with a special qualification in bilingual teaching and learning.

* Completed bachelor's degree in European Teaching Profile (EULA) or equivalent degree with components in two academic disciplines and their didactics, educational sciences, and school practical studies * One of the subjects must be the target language chosen for the master's program * The previous degree must comprise at least 180 CP or have a standard study period of at least three years * Knowledge of the chosen target language at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) * Study abroad period of one semester * Previous academic achievements in: Bilingual Teaching and Learning (5 CP), Foreign Language (30 CP), Bilingual Subject (30 CP), Educational Sciences (30 CP), School Practical Studies (6 CP)
