📋 Program Hakkında

The joint Master's program in Geothermie/Geoenergie (Geothermal Energy) is offered by TUM and FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg as part of the Geothermal Alliance Bavaria. The program focuses on training highly qualified specialists in geothermal energy for the growing renewable energy market. It covers relevant content from exploration and development of resources to the energetic use and storage of thermal energy. The program teaches modern exploration methods for finding resources, such as seismic interpretation, tectonics, reservoir geology and modeling, as well as knowledge in geomechanics, rock physics, hydrochemistry, flow and heat transport modeling, and drilling technology required for sustainable resource development and use. The economic-ecological and legal framework conditions are also covered.

* Minimum Grade Required: 2.5 qualification value * For applicants with a grade between 2.5 and 3.5, a selection interview takes place * Aptitude Assessment for Master's program

* Non-standard requirements: Sufficient German language skills required for admission. Evidence of language proficiency must be submitted before the application deadline.
