The Master's program in Mathematical Physics focuses on the interplay between Mathematics and Physics. The program aims to provide students with advanced mathematical methods and techniques of Theoretical Physics, deeper knowledge in the field of Theoretical Physics, and the ability to independently classify and solve problems in Mathematical Physics. The program promotes abstract thinking, the ability to understand complex issues, and perseverance and creativity in problem-solving. The curriculum is divided into three areas: Compulsory Mathematical Physics (20 ECTS), Elective Mathematical Physics (50 ECTS) with subareas in Mathematics, Physics, and Working Groups, and a Final Section (50 ECTS) that includes the Master's thesis (30 ECTS). Graduates have excellent career prospects in industry, science, and research due to their high abstraction ability, core competencies in mathematics and physics, and ability to quickly understand complex relationships, identify the core of a problem, and find creative solutions.

* A completed Bachelor's degree (with 180 ECTS points) in Mathematical Physics or a comparable program * Competencies of at least 30 ECTS points in the following areas of mathematics: Analysis (differential and integral calculus in one and several variables) and Linear Algebra * Competencies of at least 10 ECTS points from other areas of mathematics, e.g., ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, geometric analysis, differential geometry, function theory, functional analysis, numerical mathematics, stochastics, optimization, etc. * Competencies of at least 21 ECTS points in the following areas of theoretical physics: Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics, and Electrodynamics * Competencies of at least 19 ECTS points from other areas of Experimental or Theoretical Physics * Competencies of an additional 30 ECTS points from any areas of Mathematics, Experimental or Theoretical Physics * A thesis of at least 10 ECTS points in Mathematical Physics, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable program
