📋 Program Hakkında

This Master's program consists of lectures and seminars on topics regarding industrial mathematics and data analysis. Industrial math, as a young discipline of applied mathematics, focuses on using modern mathematical methods to solve problems from science, engineering, and industry. Recently, mathematical methods for analyzing big data have become a key part of this. The program includes mandatory lectures on 'Mathematical methods for data analysis and image processing' and 'Numerical methods for PDE' in the first semester. Students then choose either data analysis or industrial math for specialization. The program includes a modeling project where teams work on real-world problems from engineering institutes or companies. Students also choose a technical application subject (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, geosciences, applied physics, or computer science). The final semester is dedicated to the master thesis.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* A first higher education degree in mathematics, natural sciences, engineering or similar program * At least 180 credit points (CP) according to ECTS * At least 90 CP in the area of mathematics * At least 24 CP in a technical application subject or Computer Science * Experience in programming: python, Matlab, R, or something equivalent * Sound knowledge in real analysis, multivariate calculus, and linear algebra (matrix theory) * Knowledge of ordinary differential equations, Lebesgue integration, functional analysis, probability theory * Knowledge of numerical mathematics including linear systems, nonlinear equations, interpolation, numerical integration
