Modern mathematics stands out among the sciences because of its abstract beauty and its enormous variety of applications. The list of applications ranges from computer tomography and mobile telephony to image processing and financial mathematics. Studying mathematics provides the tools both for the application of mathematical methods and for the further development of mathematical theories and concepts. The master's program builds on the bachelor's degree and introduces students to current research questions through individual specialization. The program offers specializations in areas such as Algebra and number theory, Analysis, Applied mathematics, Discrete mathematics, Geometry, Mathematical modeling and systems biology, Mathematical physics, Numerical mathematics, Statistics, Probability theory, and more.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Undergraduate degree (e.g. bachelor's degree) in mathematics or mathematical-physical subject with at least 180 CP * Modules with proof-oriented mathematical content amounting to at least 90 CP * Evidence of content from analysis and linear algebra (at least 45 CPs) * Evidence of content from stochastics, statistics, numerical analysis, or geometry * Knowledge acquired using formal rules of logic and methods of proof * Evidence of basic scientific working techniques

🗣 Dil Gereksinimleri

* English language skills at B1 level of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (for non-native English speakers) * This requirement is considered fulfilled for students possessing a higher education entrance qualification with English as a foreign language * Exceptions possible on a case-by-case basis
