📋 Program Hakkında

Biology is the science of living systems. As a student you will investigate the development, functioning and behaviour, and the relationships between the individual organism and its environment. During the course of your studies you will acquire skills in all of the classical fields of biology, and you will receive comprehensive training in the methods of cellular and molecular biology. You will mainly focus on molecular genetics and molecular behavioural biology as well as environmental toxicology. In addition to subject-related content you will have classes in didactics and education. The Master of Education (MEd) in Biology follows the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and complements your teacher education. After earning your MEd, you can be admitted to the teacher traineeship ("Referendariat").

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Completed bachelor's degree in teacher education "Gymnasium" with two majors or an equivalent degree * In exceptional cases: graduates of a six-semester bachelor's programme with elements of teacher education * Minimum of 64 ECTS in each major * Minimum of 5 ECTS in the teaching methodologies of each major * Minimum of 12 ECTS in educational sciences * Three-week orientation internship at a "Gymnasium", vocational school or "Gemeinschaftsschule" * For Biology specifically: Lab course on chemical operations "Chemische Operationen", lab course on cell biology/microscopy "Zellbiologisch-histologisch-mikroskopischer Kurs"

* Non-standard requirements: International applicants need documentation of their German language skills, level DSH-2 or TestDaF 4, or a language test recognised as equivalent * Good English skills are highly recommended as large parts of the research literature are written in English
