📋 Program Hakkında

The Master Program Management Information Systems (MIS) has a standard duration of four semesters and concludes with the degree "Master of Science" (M.Sc.). The content of the Master's courses is oriented towards the interdisciplinary combination of business administration and information technology. Specific features are the combination of profound knowledge in both disciplines and the consolidation of contents in the area of Management Information Systems, which explicitly distinguishes the program from other business informatics programs. The program emphasizes learning to work independently, coping with complex tasks, project management, presentation skills, and teamwork. MIS graduates mediate between computer science and business administration, understand technical backgrounds, user perspectives, and business requirements, and drive forward digital transformation in business, administration, education, and society. The program's unique selling points include strong anchoring in business studies and computer science, research-based learning, soft skills development, transfer orientation with practical contacts with companies, and an interdisciplinary and international approach. With the completion of the Master's degree, a direct career entry is possible. Students can also deepen their knowledge by doing a doctoral program.

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 180 ECTS * By the time of application: 130 CP (via transcript) * By the time of enrollment: 180 CP (via transcript) * Degree certificate and certificate of examination: until 31.12. (for students starting in the winter semester) or 30.06. (for students starting in the summer semester) * Evidence of at least 12 CP in the area of practical computer science (e.g. software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages) obtained in a prior degree program by the time of application * Evidence of at least 12 CP in business studies fundamentals (e.g. marketing, accounting, HR, finance, strategic management) obtained in a prior degree program by the time of application * No minimum GPA or numerus clausus required * Work experience cannot replace academic requirements

* English B2 level required by the time of application * English C1 level required by the time of enrollment * Proof of language proficiency by certificate can be omitted if the last university degree or university entrance qualification was obtained in English * No knowledge of German is required
