📋 Program Hakkında

This program aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of Japan's digital transformation, qualitative and quantitative methods and the skills required to conduct data analysis independently. The program trains students to use specialized literature and digital primary and secondary sources confidently. The degree program enables students to conduct original research in the field of digital Japanese studies, with a focus on politics and media in Japan. The program structure includes acquiring basic knowledge about politics and media in Japan in the second semester, intensive study of qualitative and quantitative methods in the third semester, and seminars on current issues related to digitalization in Japan in the fourth semester. Career prospects include academia, journalism, diplomacy, and the private sector.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Completed first university degree (e.g. Bachelor's degree) with a subject-specific, subject-related or equivalent degree * Subject-specific degree: One or two-subject Bachelor's degree in Japanese Studies * Subject-related degrees: Other Bachelor's degrees with elements related to Japanese studies of at least 70 ECTS credits * Minimum Grade Required: Applicants with an overall grade of up to 2.50 will be admitted directly; applicants with an overall grade of 2.51 to 3.50 may be admitted after successfully passing a selection interview * Non-academic requirements: Good knowledge of Japanese language

* Japanese: Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at level N2 or equivalent (e.g. UNIcert II or level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference) * German: DSH 2 (written 2 / oral 1) or equivalent for international applicants
