📋 Program Hakkında

The International Master in Mathematics provides a fascinating, demanding, and research-oriented study program. It offers advanced topics in the full variety of pure and applied mathematics. After graduation one can opt for excellent job perspectives outside university or PhD programs in Mathematics inside the university. From winter semester 2025/26 on, the University of Würzburg (JMU) and the Università della Calabria (UniCal) in Cosenza (Italy) offer a double degree programme in Mathematics. The programme is taught in English language at both universities. The program features an innovative teaching form called "Research in Groups" (RIGs), which combines lectures and seminars in a research-oriented teaching format within small groups emphasizing communication and interactive skills.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or comparable study programmes * Minimum requirements: - At least 70 ECTS credits in fields of mathematics (Analysis, differential equations, linear algebra, etc.) - At least 10 ECTS credits in other fields of mathematics - At least 30 ECTS credits in any field of mathematics or subjects applying mathematical methods * Recommended preparation books: - Undergraduate Algebra (Lang) - Complex Analysis (Ahlfors, Marshall, or Simon) - Linear Algebra (Strang or Lang) - Differential Equations & Dynamical Systems (Hirsch, Smale, Devaney) - Numerical Analysis/Optimization (Stoer, Bulirsch, Nocedal, Wright) - Mathematical Analysis (Rudin, Loomis, Sternberg, Amann, Escher) - Probability and Measure (Billingsley)

* TOEFL: minimum score 79 * IELTS: minimum score 6.5 * Cambridge First Certificate in English * Non-standard requirements: If English is not your first language and you have not completed your education officially in an English language programme, you must provide proof of sufficient language skills in English
