📋 Program Hakkında

The objective of Earth Sciences is to understand the creation and development of planet Earth from its beginning to its current complexity. Where it is studied as an additional subject at Master's level, Geology covers geographical disciplines including geology, palaeontology, mineralogy and environmental geochemistry. Students gain an overview of the system consisting in earth, stones and minerals, and the development of life. Within three semesters, students develop an understanding of the earth's history, geodynamics, geochemistry, magmatism, sediments, environmental geochemistry, and isotope techniques. Analysis methods such as light microscopy are practiced in addition to traditional on-site methods. As part of didactic projects, students address topics with relevance to schooling and teaching. In the final semester, students complete a Master's thesis.
