📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's degree course in Civil Engineering with a focus on timber construction (M.Eng.) offers the opportunity to deepen and specialise in sustainable timber construction. The program teaches current knowledge in timber construction, competences in sustainable planning and consulting, and special topics of structural engineering in fire protection and statics. Students work in small seminar groups with architects on current topics and projects, applying and deepening their knowledge with personalized supervision from professors. The course includes practical excursions during semesters to apply knowledge on construction sites or in engineering offices. The program can be studied full-time or part-time, with modules that can be completed in two or four semesters. For students with limited timber construction knowledge or only 180 CP, a pre-semester with special knowledge is recommended.

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Wood Building and Construction with an overall grade of 2.5 or higher, or an equivalent qualification obtained in Germany or abroad * Proof of 210 ECTS credits from first degree (if fewer than 210 but at least 180 credits, missing credits must be completed) * Total of 300 ECTS credits required for successful completion (including first degree)
