📋 Program Hakkında

Saarland University offers a Master's programme at the interface of medicine and biosciences. The M.Sc. programme in Human and Molecular Biology focuses on molecular and pathophysiological aspects of human diseases. The programme covers natural sciences and biomedical sciences, teaching theoretical foundations and practical laboratory skills. Interdisciplinary courses expand knowledge beyond traditional subject boundaries. Advanced modules include 'Genetic Diseases and Epigenetics', 'Signal Transmission and Transport', 'Hormones, Stress and Memory' and 'Infection Biology'. During the second year, students undertake laboratory work as part of a research project in one of the ZHMB research groups. High-achieving students who pass the fast-track exam may join a doctoral research programme immediately after their first year. The programme is run by the Centre for Human and Molecular Biology (ZHMB), a joint institution of the Faculty of Natural Science and Technology and the Faculty of Medicine.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Biosciences, Human Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine or Medical Biology. Related subjects may be considered upon application. * Overall Bachelor's degree grade of 2.5 or better. * Note: Bachelor's grade can be improved by 0.2 points for one semester abroad and by an additional 0.1 points for a second semester abroad (maximum improvement: 0.3 points).
