📋 Program Hakkında

Quantum Science & Technology is a broad, interdisciplinary field of contemporary science spanning a wide range of scientific areas with a high potential for the development of future information, sensing and computing technologies. The Master's program is jointly offered by Technical University of Munich and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, allowing students to benefit from the research environment provided by the Excellence cluster Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST). The program goes beyond standard quantum mechanics teaching, focusing on concepts of superposition and entanglement that are central to modern quantum technologies (Quantum 2.0). Students learn to translate current research results into applications such as quantum sensors, quantum algorithms, and quantum computers. The two-year program provides research-related training at the interface between natural sciences, engineering and mathematics, with early insight into current international research. Students can enroll in classes at both universities to design their individual curricula and can specialize in three areas: Experimental Quantum Science & Technology, Theoretical Quantum Science & Technology, and Quantum Computing.

* Minimum requirements: a recognized undergraduate degree (e.g. a Bachelor's) * Successful completion of the aptitude assessment procedure * Selection through a two-part aptitude assessment procedure evaluating Bachelor's grades and written documents using a point system
