📋 Program Hakkında

The Choir Conducting program focuses on developing communication skills through clear and individual body language to convey musical ideas. The program emphasizes essential tools such as conducting technique, efficient rehearsal methodology, stylistic knowledge, vocal pedagogical competence, and respectful ensemble approach. Bachelor's content includes the full range of vocal repertoire, fundamentals of interpretation, stylistics, rehearsal methodology & vocal pedagogy, rehearsal practice in different ensembles, semi-annual oratorio concerts, individual and group lessons in choral and orchestral conducting, and various extracurricular activities. Master's content focuses on professionalization with professional choirs, opera choir work, project-oriented work, in-depth knowledge of 20th and 21st century music, interpretation, stylistics, rehearsal methodology, vocal pedagogy, orchestral conducting, and oratorical practice. Students gain practical experience with various ensembles including the Conductor's Choir, Large University Choir, Chamber Choir, Banda Vocale, and Baroque Academy.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor requirements: Passed entry exams, proof of Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (higher education entrance qualification), proof of sufficient language skills, proof of health insurance, proof of paid semester fee * Bachelor entry exam includes: conducting (video recordings and presence examination), score playing, main instrument/vocal performance, music theory/ear training, and knowledge of music literature * Master requirements: Bachelor of Music degree or diploma in orchestral conducting or choral conducting (in exceptional cases also an instrumental or vocal course of study or school or church music), passed entry exam, proof of sufficient language skills, proof of health insurance, proof of paid semester fee * Master entry exam includes: conducting (video preselection and presence examination), score playing, and main instrument/singing performance

🗣 Dil Gereksinimleri

* German: B1 level required for both Bachelor and Master programs * Proof according to the Framework Regulation on German Language Examinations for Studies at German Universities (e.g., Goethe Certificate, TestDaF, DSH, etc.)
