Students of Greek studies learn about Ancient Greek from the perspective of literary studies and linguistics. The cultural history of ancient Greece is also of major importance in order to understand the historical texts. The program covers Greek linguistics, Greek literary studies, and Greek culture. Students learn about the history of the Greek language, become familiar with important works through independent reading, and gain insights into cultural history. The course structure includes translation assignments, introductory courses, seminars, and lectures to develop analytical and interpretive skills.
