📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program in Computational Mechanics (ISE) builds upon the scientific qualifications acquired in a previous Bachelor's degree by expanding specialized knowledge and practicing more specialized technical methods. The program prepares graduates for the global job market or research and development in an international context. Computational Mechanics focuses on computer-aided strategies for solving practical problems. Graduates are equipped with theoretical knowledge to responsibly apply and extend complex computer-aided calculation methods. The program has an interdisciplinary character, covering topics from Applied Mechanics, engineering-oriented materials science, and various engineering application areas. The aim is to train engineers to recognize the possibilities and limitations of calculation models and to independently apply and extend existing calculation systems. The program provides comprehensive training in methodology for holistic treatment of mechanical problems in engineering sciences. The international orientation is realized through balanced German and English instruction (50% each), mandatory semester abroad for German students, strong liaison with international partner universities, and studying in a multicultural environment. Graduates fulfill all requirements to continue their studies at University Duisburg-Essen to obtain a doctoral degree. The program structure consists of advanced theory subjects, core subjects of the discipline, electives, non-technical subjects, and culminates with a master thesis.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree in ISE program with an overall grade of 3.0 or better, or * Equivalent degree from another domestic or foreign university with an average grade of 3.0 or better * If changing study direction within the ISE program when transitioning from Bachelor to Master, the examination board may require additional knowledge to be demonstrated before registering for the Master's thesis
