📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's programme Data Science offers a comprehensive education in the concepts and methods of data science, incorporating knowledge and methodology from Computer Science and Mathematics. Special emphasis is placed on the sound training of fundamental (mathematical) concepts as to be able to competently assess the properties and limitations of the methods. The main topics are: Machine Learning, AI, and Deep Learning; Statistics, Matrix Algorithms, and mathematical foundations of ML; Data Structures, Algorithms and Optimizations for Big Data; Data Engineering with Big Data Infrastructures and Data Wrangling. The Master's programme offers a wide range of application areas in collaboration with adjacent departments: Medicine, Economics, Engineering, Geography, Material Science, Physics, and provides close connections to industry and research.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's certificate or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or related areas * Overall grade of B.Sc. degree must be 2.70 or better according to the German grade scale * Sufficient previous knowledge in: Multivariate calculus/analysis (at least 5 ECTS), Linear Algebra (at least 5 ECTS), Fundamentals of Programming Languages (at least 4 ECTS), Practical Programming Experience (at least 4 ECTS), Algorithms or Numerical Methods (at least 5 ECTS), Discrete Structures/Mathematics, Databases or Data Engineering (at least 5 ECTS), and Data Science or Machine Learning (at least 4 ECTS) * Aptitude assessment process required * Students close to completing their degree may apply if they have completed at least 85% of required credit points

* English language skills at least at level B2 according to CEFR * Proof options: university entrance qualification or first university degree from an English-speaking educational institution, certificate of higher education entrance qualification with at least "sufficient" grade in English, or successful completion of tests like TOEFL or IELTS * No German language knowledge required for the program
