📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program in E-Government is a research-oriented program that qualifies students in various areas of introducing information and communication technologies in the public sector. It builds on competencies from Bachelor's programs such as Business Informatics, Information Management, Computer Science, or similar fields, and represents a special focus on information system design and application as well as IT management for governments and public administrations. The program teaches methods and techniques for holistic information system design for IT applications in the public sector, both for e-government and for citizen participation and IT use in strategic decision-making and public governance. The program focuses on teaching competencies and knowledge on methods and techniques tailored to support the design, implementation, and economic use of ICT in government and administration, as well as the resulting changes in organizational structures. Multidisciplinary and holistic design of information systems characterizes the education of graduates. The program covers key themes including: Decision-making and Decision-finding (Policy Formulation), Service production and task performance (Policy Implementation), and Monitoring, control, impact and management (monitoring and governance function). A part of the study will be completed in a semester abroad, with collaborations available at universities such as Leicester, Manchester, Örebro, Trent, and TU Delft.
