The teaching programme of the Master's degree programme in German Studies comprises the areas of Modern German Literature, German Linguistics, Language and Literature of the Middle Ages as well as Didactics of German Language and Literature. An extensive optional area allows for the targeted formation of interests and an individual specialisation for students. In addition to the integration of practical-creative and interdisciplinary options within the Augsburg module plan, a one-semester stay abroad can be undertaken. This Master's programme is also suitable for those interested in the Gymnasium teaching programme. Career prospects include publishing, journalism, public relations, education, communication, consulting, further education, science and research.

* Bachelor's certificate or equivalent degree including a Transcript of Records * If Bachelor's certificate is not yet available: Transcript of Records with at least 140 credit points * Proof of language skills on level B1 CEFR in one modern foreign language * Proof of sound knowledge of Latin or one additional foreign language on level B1 CEFR
