📋 Program Hakkında

The study program at HfKM Regensburg enables students in the Catholic Church Music program to perform church music tasks in liturgy, concerts and performances, in church education and general cultural work. It also prepares for music educational tasks, particularly for training and further education of part-time church musicians, for advising church committees on technical issues, and for public representation. Upon successful completion, students receive the academic degree Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) according to state law and the academic degree Baccalaureatus in Musica Sacra according to church law.

* Entrance examination required with the following components: * Choral conducting (10 min): Short rehearsal and conducting of a simple self-selected choral movement or canon * Organ literature playing (15 min): Works from pre-Bach era, J.S. Bach, Romantic period, and 20th/21st century * Liturgical organ playing (15 min): Five song settings with intonation; cadence playing in major and minor; sight-reading * Piano (10 min): Works from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic or 20th/21st century periods * Singing (10 min): Three accompanied and three unaccompanied vocal pieces of different character and from different periods * Music theory (120 min written): One-, two-, and four-part dictation, rhythmic dictation, simple four-part movement, analysis, basic knowledge of general music theory, music theory and music history
