Mechanical and Plant Engineering is not only one of the pillars of the German economy, but also one of its key drivers of innovation. Students in the Master's program in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc.) learn how to design processes, products, and value chains efficiently, sustainably, and with a future-oriented approach. The program is highly interdisciplinary, research-oriented, and application-focused. Building on the engineering fundamentals acquired during their Bachelor's studies, students deepen their technical and methodological knowledge and learn to apply it to unconventional, novel, and highly complex problems and tasks. Topics include optimization in energy and process engineering, innovations for more efficient processing and manufacturing methods, sustainable product design, and the development of intelligent, networked systems. By combining various specializations from engineering fundamentals, core subjects of mechanical engineering, and related disciplines, students develop individual profiles tailored to their talents and interests.
