📋 Program Hakkında

The research-oriented Master's programme in mathematics provides a high-profile education in the areas of algebra, geometry and number theory, analysis, mathematical data analysis, mathematical didactics, numerics, and stochastics. There is a strong collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. The programme requires 120 credit points (CP), with 42 CP for compulsory modules (30 CP for master's thesis and 12 CP for master's seminar) and at least 61 CP for optional modules. Students work in small groups with individual supervision by professors and their assistants. The Department of Mathematics has strong ties with the Department of Computer Science and renowned institutes like Max-Planck-Institutes for Computer Science and Software Systems.
