Statistics is a very practically oriented data science, regardless whether collecting, analyzing, interpreting, or presenting data. It plays a crucial role in a number of application areas, such as opinion surveys, technological developments, or when handling complex datasets. It is a very practically oriented discipline and in a time of growing data streams, its importance is increasing in almost all areas of industry, science, and everyday life. The students in this master's program are trained to become professionals in handling statistics of all kinds. They work with the mathematic basic principles and methods of empirical research and learn how to compile statistics and critically evaluate statistical evidence. The curriculum's topic areas include probability theory and mathematic statistics, special fields of statistics, stochastic processes and time series analysis. The master's program in Statistics is a joint program offered by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, and Technische Universität Berlin.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: First university degree in a study program with a quantitative orientation (statistics, economics, social science, industrial engineering and management, mathematics, or physics) * Minimum knowledge required: At least 30 credit points of special knowledge in the fundamentals of mathematics, probability theory, and statistics, or other quantitative subjects * Ranking criteria: Final grade of previous degree and number of credits acquired in quantitative specialization (mathematics, probability theory, statistics, econometrics, or comparable coursework). Applicants must have 40 credit points or more in this area to improve their ranking
