📋 Program Hakkında

The aim of Forestry System Transformation is to take on a socio-economic perspective on forest management and to reflect, develop and test innovative forest management, policy and business approaches and strategies to sustainably provide the wide range of forest ecosystem services. Requirements of forestry systems to provide a wide range of forest ecosystem functions and services are analysed from a socio-economic, forest management and innovation-system perspective. Strategies for innovation and transformation are developed for decision-making from the company level to international political agenda setting. Throughout the study programme, with help of scientific discussions, political debates, insights on policy, business and forest practices up to the student's own transformation project, the students become familiar with tools, methods and strategies to promote innovations in the forestry sector from new wood products to political transformation processes. The programme consists of four semesters. A total of 30 ECTS shall be completed each semester, consisting of mandatory and a selection of elective modules. This results in a total of 120 ECTS for the master's programme FST.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* First university degree (Bachelor, Diplom, Diplom [FH], Magister or Master) with minimum 6 semesters and 180 ECTS * Suitable backgrounds: International Forest Ecosystem Management (B.Sc.), Forestry (B.Sc.), or other relevant programs related to (forest) ecosystems, sustainable natural resource management, or social-ecological systems research * Specific subject areas: Agriculture and Forestry, Agricultural and Forest Sciences; Nature Conservation, Environmental Sciences (excluding Environmental Engineering); Environmental and Resource Economics; Teacher training in these subject areas * If no prior knowledge of forest ecosystems or sustainable natural resource management, conditional admission may require the course "Forest Ecology and Forest Management"

* English language proficiency at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) * If not available at application time, can be submitted by the end of re-enrollment period for second semester * Alternatively, TOEIC test may be taken during first semester at HNEE Language Centre
