📋 Program Hakkında

Archaeology of the Ancient World (AAW) is a two-year, full-time Master's program taught in English. It brings together three disciplines – Prehistoric Archaeology, Near Eastern Archaeology, and Classical Archaeology – to approach the past of the Mediterranean region, Eurasia, and southwest Asia. As a consecutive program AAW builds on knowledge about the past acquired through the study of ancient material culture during a Bachelor program or through professional qualification. The program introduces you to a part of the world that has seen intense processes of transformation as well as abundant intercultural and inter-societal contacts during the last ten thousand years. You will acquire theoretical skills in dealing with scholarly arguments as well as practical skills in handling artefacts and analysing data.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* First university degree (Bachelor's degree) comprising at least 180 credit points (ECTS) * Degree must be in an archaeological discipline OR a related discipline (history, cultural anthropology, art history, historical geography or similar) with a strong focus on archaeological courses (at least 60 credit points) * Excellent English language skills (level C1 CEFR) if first university degree was not obtained in a program where English is the language of instruction

* English: C1 level (CEFR) required * IELTS (Academic): overall score at least 7.0 (C1) * TOEFL Internet-based iB: overall score 100 or higher, at least 25 in writing * Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grades A-C * Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): grades A-C * Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE): grades A-B * Cambridge English Scale CPE, CAE and FCE (from January 2015): overall score at least 180 and in writing at least 180 * UNIcert® (level III or higher) * Certificates must not be older than three years at the time of application * German language proficiency is not required
