📋 Program Hakkında

The study program at HfKM Regensburg enables students in the Conducting/Choir Direction program to perform well-founded choir leadership and conducting tasks in liturgy, concerts and performances, in church education and general cultural work. It prepares for training and further education of part-time and full-time choir directors, for advising committees on technical issues, and for public representation. It prepares for positions with a focus on conducting/choir direction. The program requires a total of 240 ECTS credits and 118 semester hours (SWS).

* Aptitude test in Choir Direction (15 min practical / 5 min oral) * Singing test (10 min) * Piano test (10 min) * Score playing test (15 min) * Music theory test (120 min written): General music theory, Composition, Ear training * Requirements include rehearsal work on a prepared four-part choral piece, sight-singing of vocal parts, singing and recognition of intervals and chords, prepared vocal pieces, baroque work, classical sonata or variation work, romantic or 20th/21st century work, playing scores in old and modern keys, sight-reading scores, dictation exercises, and basic knowledge of general music theory, music theory and music history * For Bachelor programs: general higher education entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification according to § 29 QualV * Application deadline for winter semester: April 30 * Application deadline for summer semester: January 31 * German language proficiency level B2 GER required (must be proven by the end of the second semester)
