📋 Program Hakkında

Environmental planning and territorial development are among today's key tools for achieving sustainable development. The consequences of global and regional change for humanity, flora and fauna, and ecological and economic systems are becoming increasingly apparent. Climate change, the development of renewable energies, changes in urban/rural relations, and the conservation of biodiversity are major challenges for society. The Track 'Territorial Development' focuses on planning and control instruments for integrating the environmental perspective into comprehensive spatial development. Students learn to develop landscape designs in which they strike a balance between the different usage interests, taking into account provisions under nature conservation and planning law. Course content includes urban planning and territorial development, landscape and environmental planning, European spatial planning, planning theory, environmental assessment, introduction to EU law, project-centred learning, and key transferable skills.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification at a German university or a foreign university belonging to the Bologna signatory states in the degree subject or in another relevant undergraduate degree * Non-academic requirements: Letter of motivation (maximum 3 pages) explaining specific skills and interests, professional goals, capability for scientific work, knowledge of fundamentals from first degree, and preferred track * Other requirements: If the previous Bachelor's degree is not yet completed at application time, at least 150 credit points must be documented by the application deadline * Selection process: Applications are evaluated based on final/average mark and evaluation of application folder. The letter of motivation is assessed on specific skills/interests, professional goals, academic research capability, and knowledge of scientific foundations

* Non-standard requirements: Applicants for the Territorial Development track who are not native speakers of English must provide proof of sufficient English language proficiency (at least level B2)
