📋 Program Hakkında

The Bachelor's Program in Current English Linguistics and Literary Studies (CELLS) is a modern, English-language program that covers more than traditional programs in English and American Studies. It combines theoretical, specialized knowledge of British and American language, literature, culture, and media with well-founded language skills and key competencies relevant for the workplace. Students learn about the English language and literature, and study the cultures and societies of Great Britain and the USA. Over the course of the program, students can specialize in either Literary Studies or Linguistics. Modules in Literary Studies give the opportunity to learn about the basic principles and theories of scientific literary analysis, and focus on the literature of the late 20th century and the 21st century. Classes on Linguistics teach students about language acquisition, language development, and multilingualism. Almost all modules are taught in English.

* English language proficiency at B2 level (can be proven by grades from English classes in upper secondary education or by taking a language test) * For applicants without a German university entrance qualification (Abitur or equivalent), proof of German language proficiency at C1 level is required * The program has a local admission restriction
