📋 Program Hakkında

The research-oriented Master's program 'Language - Media - Society' combines a cultural studies and comparative cultural perspective on language, mediality and communication with a focus on Europe. The program addresses various communication contexts (everyday life, institutions, audio-visual media), communicative and aesthetic practices (oral and written, monomodal and multimodal, analog and digital), discourse forms (everyday conversation, text, audio-visuality, political and public discourse) and social structures (power relations, affiliations and diversity). The program offers specialized tracks including 'Linguistic Research' and international double degree programs such as 'Multimodality - Discourse - Media' (MuDiM) with Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3 University.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* First university degree (Bachelor's) with at least 30 ECTS credits in subjects with a relevant linguistic focus (e.g., language comparison, linguistics, language acquisition) or communication or media studies subjects (with a humanities or cultural studies reference) * For applicants without a completed degree: minimum of 140 ECTS (for 180 ECTS Bachelor programs), 170 ECTS (for 210 ECTS Bachelor programs), or 200 ECTS (for 240 ECTS Bachelor programs)

* German: DSH certificate or equivalent for non-native German speakers who did not obtain university entrance qualification in Germany * Two European foreign languages at level B2/UNIcert II, one of which is usually English * For MuDiM double degree: English and French at B1/UNIcert I level in one language and B2/UNIcert II level in the other
