📋 Program Hakkında

The M.Sc. Applied Statistics has a dual aim: qualifying graduates for positions focused on statistics/quantitative methods in public institutions (statistical institutes, central banks), research institutes, or private companies (financial sector), and preparing them for Ph.D. studies. Students gain deep understanding of core statistical methods and specialized techniques in their chosen specialization track (one of four): survey statistics, data science, European Master in Official Statistics, or geostatistics. Throughout their studies, students become professional users of R programming language. The program benefits from the department's international research network, providing global perspectives and insights into ongoing statistical research. The student body is international, and the university's location in the 'Vierländereck' of France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany provides proximity to relevant institutions like Eurostat, Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), and the European Central Bank. The program offers an excellent student-lecturer ratio and is one of only 31 degree programs that offer the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) certificate.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree (min. 180 ECTS) with a grade of 2.0 or better in one of the following: - Mathematics (Applied Mathematics or Business Mathematics) or Statistics - Business administration, social sciences/sociology or economics with at least 24 ECTS in Mathematics, quantitative methods, statistics (min. 5 ECTS in mathematics, min. 10 ECTS in statistics) - Related degree programme with at least 30 ECTS in Mathematics, quantitative methods, statistics * Good knowledge of programming language R is recommended
