📋 Program Hakkında

The Computer Science Master of Education program has a dual focus. One key area focuses on knowledge requirements in the core instruction plan for computer science and related educational standards. The second area focuses on specific contents, methods and tools for conducting motivating and theoretically well-grounded computer science lessons following the active learning approach. Students gain knowledge to reflect on specialized instruction, examine teaching concepts, and improve teaching strategies based on latest research. The program covers technical topics in algorithms, graphics/visual systems/audio, information and communications management, and intelligent systems. While bachelor's programs focus on subject-specific knowledge, this Master of Education emphasizes educational sciences and subject didactics. Students choose Computer Science and a second subject, plus Educational Sciences. The practical semester is a key component of the program.

* University degree (German or non-German) in a relevant discipline * 9 weeks internship, including 25 days at a school * Subject knowledge/subject didactics modules worth 67 ECTS credits in each of the selected school subjects * (School) internships worth 24 ECTS credits * Bachelor's thesis 10 ECTS credits

* German: DSH level 3, CEFR level C2 (as per DSH exam regulations) * Other language skills: Two foreign languages (modern languages on CEFR level A2 or qualification in Latin/Greek)
