📋 Program Hakkında

The English-language master's degree program in Computer Science combines a sound and broad-ranging education with specialization in two in-depth subjects from numerous fields of computer science. The program consists of Elective Studies (6-49 CP), 2 Areas of Specialization (min. 15 CP each, max. 73 CP together), Minor Studies (9-18 CP), Interdisciplinary qualifications (2-6 CP), and a Master's thesis (30 LP). Students must complete at least four advanced mandatory modules (6 CP each) during their studies. Areas of specialization include Theoretical Foundations, Algorithm Engineering, Cryptography and Security, Data Science, Design of Embedded Systems and Computer Architectures, Human-centred Machine Intelligence, Robotics and Automation, Software Engineering and Compiler Construction, and Telematics. A freely selectable supplementary subject allows students to participate in courses at another KIT department to gain insights into possible areas of application and professional fields. The program follows the principle of giving students the choice to either specialize in a certain field or study a broad range of subjects.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 180 ECTS credits * Minimum achievements required: Theoretical Computer Science (15 CP), Practical Computer Science (30 CP), Computer Engineering (8 CP), Mathematics (25 CP) * Alternative path: Top 10% graduates with slightly lower requirements can qualify through an aptitude interview

* English proficiency at CEFR level B2 or higher * Accepted tests: TOEFL iBT (min. 90 points), IELTS (min. 6.5 overall, no section below 5.5), TOEIC (min. 400 points in Listening, 385 in Reading, 160 in Speaking, 150 in Writing), Cambridge Certificate C1 Advanced (CAE), Cambridge Certificate C2 Proficiency (CPE), Cambridge Certificate B2 First (FCE), UNIcert level II or higher, Pearson PTE Academic (min. 58.5 points overall)
