📋 Program Hakkında

The master's degree program Industrial Informatics offers practical training in the field of industrial application of electrical engineering and computer science. The program lasts three semesters and is divided into two specializations: Information Processing for Cyber-Physical Systems (in German) and Industrial cyber-physical systems (in English). The program structure consists of two phases: the first phase comprises modules of the first two semesters (60 credit points), and the second phase consists of the master's thesis (30 credit points). The first phase modules are organized in three thematic blocks: Block 1 conveys advanced knowledge in formal basics of industrial computer science, Block 2 offers elective modules in industrial computerization and digitalization systems, and Block 3 includes projects for independent scientific focus or practical application. The program covers topics from automation systems to robotics and mechatronics, from embedded systems to modeling and visualization, from network technologies to security concepts. Upon successful completion, students are awarded the academic degree of Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), with the prospect of doctoral studies in cooperation with university partners.

* Bachelor's degree (BA) from a university (belonging to one of the Bologna signatory states) in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or an equivalent degree from a German or foreign university in a subject-related suitable bachelor's degree program * For students who completed a 6-semester bachelor's program, a supplementary program is offered to acquire missing knowledge (30 ECTS) * Basic knowledge of Real-Time-Critical Systems and Software Engineering (incl. Programming) is essential
