📋 Program Hakkında

In the master's program art history, you will deal with the research, preservation and mediation of European art and architectural heritage in a practice-oriented manner. You will acquire factual knowledge about the main epochs of European art history and subject-specific methods of scientific work. An individual profile formation combined with the acquisition of job-related competences is made possible by the choice of an area of concentration: art history/art technology or art history/museum. In cooperation with the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz (National Museums in Berlin - Prussian Cultural Heritage), you will deepen your specialist knowledge of museum collection and exhibition practice in the area of Art Studies/Museum. As part of the Art Science/Art Technology concentration, you will deal with the material and art-technological prerequisites of spatial and visual arts as well as their influence on the design of historical and modern living environments.

* Minimum degree required: First university degree qualifying for professional work with primary/core subject in art history/art studies encompassing at least 60 credit points (LP) * Language requirements: Proof of German skills for foreign applicants
