📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program in "Communications Engineering" expands on the foundational knowledge from Bachelor's studies with advanced theory and various techniques of analog and digital message transmission for wireless and optical signal transmission applications. The aim of the Master's program is to prepare students for demanding roles in management, research, and teaching. Building on the broad foundations provided by a corresponding Bachelor's degree, knowledge will be deepened in higher mathematics and numerical mathematics required for demanding technical subjects, electromagnetic field theory, technical subjects that serve as foundations for more demanding job profiles in electrical and information technology, and technical profile subjects that enable demanding work in the field of communications technology. The program aims to develop the ability to work on theoretically demanding topics and solve challenging tasks requiring extensive theoretical tools for modeling, synthesis, and simulation. Graduates are primarily prepared for careers in research of innovative technologies in communications technology (particularly wireless transmission in high-frequency technology), transferring these technologies to industrial practice, and leadership positions in industry for the development and operation of communication systems. As part of the International Studies in Engineering (ISE) program, this Master's degree builds on a Bachelor's degree by dealing with increasingly complex issues, enhancing specialist knowledge, and teaching application of specialist procedures. The program follows a structured curriculum consisting of advanced theories, core subjects of the discipline, electives, non-technical subjects, and culminates with a Master thesis (6 months) and colloquium. The advanced theories provide necessary background for education in the chosen field, while core subjects provide in-depth knowledge specific to Communications Engineering. Electives allow students to choose and deepen their own profile within the discipline. Non-technical courses aim to deepen general education, increase linguistic competence, and strengthen teamwork and presentation abilities. The master thesis concludes the scientific education, demonstrating the student's capability to process engineering problems autonomously using scientific methods.
