📋 Program Hakkında

The 2-year Master course in Gemstones and Jewellery is based upon the student's own proposal of study. The proposal is evaluated in the entrance examination and serves as the guiding line throughout the complete study. This concept guarantees an ultimate level of individuality in the professional profiles of graduates. The MFA program provides time, space, discussions, and opportunities, while students supply content, energy, and concentration. The course is structured in modules with different learning and teaching methods. The workload of the core project's module covers about 60% of the individual semester workload, while theory and context modules cover about 40%. The educational goal is to train students for a research-related professional activity in the fields of gemstones and jewellery. Graduates can work independently and creatively, with broad and in-depth knowledge as well as analytical methods. The international orientation (with English as the language of instruction) gives students a competitive edge in the international job market. The Master's degree provides the opportunity to pursue a doctorate. Graduates can work in various professional areas such as design in the jewellery and gemstone industry, trade fair and exhibition management, gallery ownership, specialist teaching, self-employment, product design, and activities in publishing and press.
