📋 Program Hakkında

This Master's program focuses on the scientific study of Japan in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. The three sub-areas of History and Culture, Society, and Politics of Japan are examined using both social science and cultural studies methods. The language training provides advanced receptive and productive skills in contemporary Japanese language (reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking). The program aims to enable students to function in a Japanese-language, research-oriented context. Japanologie 45/75 LP is a consecutive Master's program that continues the subject-specific and methodological content of the Bachelor's program in Japanese Studies.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* First professional higher education degree (usually Bachelor) in Japanese Studies or a comparable program * Japanese language skills at B1 level, proven by Unicert I or an equivalent internationally recognized language certificate. Alternatively, proof of Japanese language skills through a certificate of passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at least level N3. The language requirement is also considered fulfilled if the degree was completed in a Japanese-language program. * A degree is considered comparable if it includes competencies from the field of Japanese Studies worth 60 credit points. Graduates of non-comparable Bachelor's programs may be admitted in exceptional cases if they can demonstrate competencies with a Japanese studies reference and knowledge of the Japanese language in written and spoken form to a sufficient extent.
