Whether it's a residential building, tunnel, office building, or football stadium – the technical realization, planning, and maintenance of structures is the responsibility of civil engineers. They find engineering solutions to ensure that construction projects are implemented safely, efficiently, functionally, and sustainably. The Bachelor's degree programme in Civil Engineering provides you with the fundamentals of mathematics, physics, statics, mechanics, and building materials science to construct future-proof buildings. In addition to technical subjects, key topics include building planning, design, construction management, sustainable building, and the integration of new materials and construction methods. Later, you can choose from three specializations: project management, infrastructure planning, and structural design. You will regularly supplement the theory taught in lectures with practical experience – for example, through field trips to construction projects, collaborations with the construction industry, or the application of computer-aided design and building information modeling.
