📋 Program Hakkında

The master's programme in geodesy and geoinformatics is divided into three study tracks: Geomatics, Remote Sensing and GIS, and Navigation and Field Robotics. This program covers a wide range of tasks and activities dealing with current social issues from climate change to land management. In the "Geomatics" track, students build on knowledge from the Bachelor's programme with in-depth basics in advanced subjects. The program includes compulsory elective modules and two projects to expand skills and complete practical tasks as part of a team. This study track can be studied entirely in English. The programme is built up of modules including compulsory, mandatory elective modules, and the elective module Studium Generale. Students can choose to specialise either in Geodesy or in Geoinformatics, which implies a set of specific modules in the two domains. At least 10 CPs must be obtained in both domains. Course content includes engineering surveying, methods of geodetic data analysis, land and real estate management, physical geodesy and gravimetry, satellite geodesy, positioning and navigation, photogrammetry, computer vision, remote sensing, cartography, geoinformatics, geographic information systems, monitoring of climate change processes, and data science with focus on environmental data.

* Minimum degree required: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geodesy and Geoinformatics or other suitable previous degree programme * For applicants with other degrees: Evidence of subject-related skills in at least four of the following areas: - 20 ECTS-CP in mathematics and statistics - 15 ECTS-CP in computer science and programming - 10 ECTS-CP in physics - 15 ECTS-CP in geodesy and geoinformatics - 15 ECTS-CP in navigation and field robotics * OR in at least four of the following areas: - 10 ECTS-CP in mathematics and statistics - 10 ECTS-CP in computer science and programming - 15 ECTS-CP in physics or chemistry - 20 ECTS-CP in geosciences - 20 ECTS-CP in geography * Research: Students should be interested in subject-specific and research-oriented interrelations * Team work skills
