The Master of Education (MEd) in Computer Science follows the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and complements your teacher education Lehramt Gymnasium. After earning your MEd, you can be admitted to the teacher traineeship ("Referendariat"). The program covers how data are stored, bundled, exchanged and depicted. Computer science is a discipline that extends into most areas of our everyday lives. The program is based on mathematics and engineering, and during the first semesters students become acquainted with various programming languages and tackle a broad spectrum of mathematics ranging from algebra to analysis and logic. The master's programme usually takes four semesters to complete, and students will be taking two major subjects as well as classes in educational science including a practical teaching semester.

* Completed bachelor's degree in teacher education "Gymnasium" with two majors or an equivalent degree * In exceptional cases: graduates of a six-semester bachelor's programme with elements of teacher education * Minimum of 64 ECTS in each major * Minimum of 5 ECTS in the teaching methodologies of each major * Minimum of 12 ECTS in educational sciences * Three-week orientation internship at a "Gymnasium", a vocational school or a "Gemeinschaftsschule" with upper secondary level students
