📋 Program Hakkında

The Master of Education (MEd) in French follows the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and complements teacher education for Lehramt Gymnasium. The program consists of literary, linguistic and practical modules. Literary modules teach critical analysis and reflection on French literature and culture from the Middle Ages to the present across all genres. Linguistic modules cover the structure and history of the French language, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, language acquisition, and French varieties. Practical courses improve French language skills through regional and cultural studies, oral and written language skills, listening comprehension, translation and grammar. The program also includes didactics and education classes. After earning the MEd, graduates can be admitted to the teacher traineeship ("Referendariat").

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Completed bachelor's degree in teacher education "Gymnasium" with two majors or equivalent degree * In exceptional cases: Six-semester bachelor's in a specific subject from a German university with teacher education elements * Minimum of 64 ECTS in each major * Minimum of 5 ECTS in teaching methodologies of each major * Minimum of 12 ECTS in educational sciences * Three-week orientation internship at a "Gymnasium", vocational school, "Gemeinschaftsschule" with upper secondary level, or equivalent * Up to 50 ECTS of missing elements can be completed during the master's program

🗣 Dil Gereksinimleri

* French: 4 years of classes in secondary education OR 3 years in the last 3 years before Abitur with grade "ausreichend/sufficient" or better, OR level B2 certificate (CEFR) * Another Romance language (e.g. Italian, Spanish): 2 years of classes in secondary education with grade "ausreichend/sufficient" or better, OR CEFR level A2 * Latin: 2 years of classes in secondary education with grade "ausreichend/sufficient" or better, OR CEFR level A2 * German for international applicants: DSH-2 or TestDaF 4, or equivalent
