High-tech industry (space satellites, autonomous driving cars, computer tomography etc.) and our everyday life would be very different without mathematics. Actually without mathematical methods, these developments would not have been possible. The program combines a practice-oriented mathematics education, which focuses on mathematical modeling of technical-industrial problems, with a technical application subject and computer science. During the studies of industrial mathematics, students learn how complex problems from technology, industry, engineering and natural sciences can be processed and solved using mathematical methods. The Bachelor's degree program focuses on three main areas: extensive mathematical expertise in modeling, numerics, optimization and scientific computing; development of and effective handling of computers and software; and close connections to a technical application subject.
