📋 Program Hakkında

The interior design field of study at Trier University of Applied Sciences offers a Master's degree course. The postgraduate course is aimed at graduates of a diploma or eight-semester bachelor's program who wish to deepen their competence in the understanding of space and who are particularly interested in a flexible, interdisciplinary education. The two-semester Master of Interior Design course is designed as a consecutive in-depth course of study to a subject-related Bachelor's course of at least 8 semesters (corresponding to 240 ECTS) or a comparable diploma course. The program is structured into four modules: M1 Project Forum (10 ECTS), M2 Theory Forum (10 ECTS), M3 Interdisciplinary Poly-Forum (10 ECTS), and M4 Master Thesis (30 ECTS). The individual subjects of the School of Interior Design are available in a personally adjustable combination with theoretical-scientific teaching modules and interdisciplinary modules from the neighbouring fields of architecture, intermedia design, communication design, fashion design, gemstone / jewellery. The aim of the Master's degree course is the elaboration of the individual Master's thesis. The Master's program prepares students for professional activities regulated by the architectural laws of the German states. The professional task involves the creative, constructive, technical, economic, ecological, and social planning of interior spaces and associated structural changes to buildings. The program is situated at the intersection of technical and aesthetic thinking, or engineering and design action. Students can select their study content from a diverse portfolio of courses and subject modules to match their chosen project.

* Graduates of a diploma or eight-semester bachelor's program (corresponding to 240 ECTS) or a comparable diploma course * Subject-related Bachelor's course required * Minimum grade point average of 2.0 required * Qualification test required according to §66 of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act * The program requires students to develop a self-initiated project proposal for their Master thesis * The Master's program builds on qualifications and competencies taught in the Bachelor's program in Interior Design
